Expanding on my original Topo Map Kit 1, this pack adds five new unique landscapes complete with ground, water, heightmap and shadow images.  The raw materials in this kit were developed using Quadspinner’s Gaea software and then optimized for use in Wonderdraft (and technically also other art software, e.g., Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, GIMP).

The Topo (topographic) Map Kit 2 for Wonderdraft includes:

• 5 unique sets of 2K (2048px) resolution maps, well-suited to Wonderdraft export upscaling to 4096px
• Each map set includes:
  • 1 seamless ground image – featuring rock outcrops and other landform textures ready for coloring.
  • 2 water images – 1 with subtle bathymetric color depth and 1 with caustics enhancement
  • 1 shadows image – standard hillshade shadows (azimuth 315, angle 45); apply as Wonderdraft overlay to make the landscape really pop
  • 1 heightmap – matching the ground and water; import it into Wonderdraft to set your own water level and tune; make lakes, river courses, or archipelagos

How to use?

• In Wonderdraft, you select your ground and water as per usual, import a matching height map, adjust the water level and ground cover, apply other assets (e.g., trees, grunge, buildings, and even other topographic landforms), color as needed, overlay shadows, and then export your amazing final map!
• The assets are designed to make 2048×2048 pixel dimension maps, however, the ground images are seamless and the water images are “mostly seamless”, so larger maps are possible (note: the heightmap and shadows only work for 2048px size maps).
• Easily mix and match with other ground or water assets, including core Wonderdraft.  Tip: mixing and matching the ground and water from different map sets in this kit can produce very dramatic effects.
• A Wonderdraft theme is included to help set you up with some optimal ground and water configurations.
