A ready-to-use topographic map kit including five sets of HD ground, water, shadows and height map assets! Load, tune, decorate and colour.

Topo (topographic) Map Kit 1 for Wonderdraft includes:

• 5 unique sets of maps at 2K (2048px) resolution, well-suited to Wonderdraft export upscaling to 4096px
• Each map set includes:
  • 1 ground image – featuring rock outcrops and other landform textures, ready for coloring and grunge texturing
  • 2 water images – 1 with subtle bathymetric color depth and 1 with caustics enhancement
  • 1 shadows image – standard hillshade shadows (azimuth 315, angle 45); apply as Wonderdraft overlay to make the landscape really pop
  • 1 heightmap – matching the ground and water; import it into Wonderdraft to set your own water level and tune; make lakes, river courses, or archipelagos
  • 1 Wonderdraft theme with optimal ground and water configurations

How to use this kit in Wonderdraft?

• Copy the kit contents to your Wonderdraft assets folder
• Select matching kit map ground and water and import the matching height map (be sure to disable water random mirroring effect), adjust the water level and ground cover to your liking, decorate with other assets (for example, trees, structures, symbols, grunge, and even other topographic landforms), color, add overlay shadows, and then export your amazing final map!
• The assets are designed to make 2048×2048 pixel dimension maps.  The ground and water are “mostly seamless”, so you could risk experimenting with larger area maps
• Mix and match with other ground or water assets, including core Wonderdraft.  Tip: mixing and matching the ground and water from different map sets in this kit can produce very dramatic effects
• Tip: winter landscapes are made easy – no colouring needed!
