Description

This is a set of two namebases created using place names from the regions of Flanders (Dutch speaking) & Wallonia (French speaking) of Belgium.

Flemish (Vlaams in Dutch) is a variety of Dutch used primarily in the region of Flanders, and also in the southern region of Netherlands. It’s part of a cluster of dialects known as Lower Franconian.

Walloon (Wallon in French) is a variety of French spoken in the region of Wallonia, which covers the southern half of Belgium. Walloon is also spoken in parts of Northern France.

There is a third region in Belgium called Brussels, which is the capital region. Brussels lies in central Belgium, and is split between speakers of Flemish and Walloon.
