Description
A list (non-comprehensive) of Cherokee place names without apostrophes (‘) and hyphens, as they tend to make the names too long to be displayed properly on a map with many burgs. Some names may have been corrupted over time and their original pronunciations lost (such as Tennessee), but as many as possible were kept in their original, unaltered forms.
