Description

This namebase includes town names for Aarakocra, Aasimar, Astral Elf, Centaur, Deep Gnome, Dragonborn, Eladrin, Fairy, Human Farmer, Human Warrior, Firbolg, Genasi, Goliath, Hadozee, Half-Elf, Halfling, Harengon, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Locathah, Loxodon, Minotaur, Owlin, Rock Gnome, Satyr, Sea Elf, Shadar-kai, Tiefling, Triton and Vedalken cultures. The namebases are specifically town names so will generate town names as opposed to names for people like many other namebases do.

AI Disclaimer: I used ChatGPT to do the heavy lifting for this, but it’s all been personally vetted and modified personally. There are no duplicates, all the names sound like town names and not like people names and they all make sense with the culture it’s supposed to be representing.

Methods: For the names that had namebases available, they were put through ChatGPT with a prompt to remove names that sounded like people names and edit the rest so they all sounded like town names. Second names such as Hollow and Vale were added either by AI or personally to names that fit well. These namebases came from Dungeon’s and Dragons Namebase by NewMar!

For races that didn’t have namebases, official naming conventions were used to generate the town names. If there were no official naming conventions, sample names were taken from Dndnames.com to create a naming convention which was then used to create the list of names.

You can use these methods to create the namebase for other races yourself either with AI or python scripts cause some of these namebases were made with python as well. Though I may also update it to add new ones if requested.

Acknowledgments: Thank you to both Dndnames and NewMar for the resources I used to create this namebase. Couldn’t have done it without either of you.

How to Install

Download the namebase. Go to tools then click namebase under the Edit section. Click either one of the up arrows to upload the namebase. This only includes fantasy names so I'd recommend choosing "Upload namebase, extending current set" so that you don't lose your other namebases.
